TerrySay (terrysay.com) is operated by Terry Say as a sole proprietor based in British Columbia, Canada. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and how you can control it.

What we collect

When you use the contact form on this site, we collect the information you choose to provide: your name, email address, the type of business you run, what you need help with, and any message you write. We collect it for one reason — so we can respond to your inquiry and, if you engage our services, deliver them.

If you subscribe to email updates, we collect your email address for that purpose only.

When you order an editing service (such as the AI Article Editor), we collect your name, email address, the article links or documents you submit, and any notes you include — solely to deliver the work you ordered. Payments are processed by Stripe; your card details go directly to Stripe and are never stored on our systems.

Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically logs standard server data including IP addresses and browser user agents for security and performance purposes. We also use Google Analytics to understand site traffic in aggregate (see the Cookie Policy for details and opt-out options). We do not use analytics data for advertising or to build individual visitor profiles.

How we use your information

Your contact details are used solely to respond to your inquiry, prepare quotes, and deliver services you request. If you subscribed to updates, your email is used to send those updates. We will never use your information for any other purpose without your explicit consent.

Who we share it with

We use trusted service providers to operate this site: our hosting provider (Vercel), our database provider (MongoDB Atlas), our email delivery provider (Resend), our payment processor (Stripe), and our analytics provider (Google Analytics). Your data is stored and processed on their infrastructure, and their own privacy policies apply to how they handle it.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any third party for marketing purposes. Ever.

How long we keep it

Contact inquiries are retained for as long as needed to respond and to maintain a record of our correspondence. If you subscribed to updates, we keep your email address until you unsubscribe. You may request permanent deletion of your data at any time (see below).

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to access, correct, or permanently delete the personal information we hold about you. Email terry@terrysay.com and we will action your request promptly. If you are in a jurisdiction with specific privacy rights (such as PIPEDA in Canada, GDPR in the EU, or CCPA in California), those rights apply to how we handle your data.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
