Terms of Use
By using this website or engaging TerrySay for services, you agree to these terms. Please read them before getting in touch.
Who we are
TerrySay (terrysay.com) is the freelance web design, development, SEO, and copywriting practice of Terry Say, operating as a sole proprietor in British Columbia, Canada.
Website use
You may browse this site and use the contact form for legitimate inquiries. You agree not to misuse the site — including attempting to disrupt it, submitting spam or malicious content through forms, or scraping content for republication.
Service engagements
Information on this site — including package descriptions and starting prices — is an invitation to inquire, not a binding offer. Custom engagements are confirmed in writing (by proposal, quote, or agreement) before work begins, and the written terms of that engagement govern the work. Monthly packages can be cancelled per the terms stated in your specific agreement.
Productized editing services
Some services (such as the AI Article Editor packages) can be ordered directly on this site. For those orders: payment is processed securely by Stripe at the time of ordering, and placing an order means you accept these terms (Stripe asks you to confirm this at checkout). I confirm each order with a delivery date within 1 business day. The deliverable is an edited document with tracked changes plus a findings summary, and one round of follow-up questions on the delivered work is included.
Provide your article link(s) at checkout, or by replying to your receipt email. Delivery timelines start once I have the materials needed to do the work. Each package covers the scope stated on its pricing card, including word-count limits; work beyond that scope is quoted separately before it begins.
All sales are final. Because every order is custom editorial work performed on your content, payments are not refundable. The one exception: if I cannot deliver an order I have accepted, you receive a full refund. If something in delivered work is incorrect, I will correct it at no charge.
By submitting content for editing, you confirm you have the rights to it. Your content is kept confidential: it is not shared, published, or used in any portfolio without your written permission. Edited work belongs to you.
Editorial review, not professional advice
Editing, proofreading, and accuracy-checking services are an editorial review of your content. They are not legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice, and they do not replace review by a licensed professional where your content or industry requires one. Responsibility for what you ultimately publish remains yours.
No guaranteed outcomes
We bring senior-level expertise and proven processes to every project, but no specific business result — rankings, traffic, revenue, or conversions — can be guaranteed. Search engines, markets, and audiences are outside any provider's control, and anyone promising otherwise should be treated with suspicion.
Intellectual property
Content on this website (text, design, graphics) belongs to Terry Say and may not be reproduced without permission. Ownership of work product created for clients is defined in each engagement's written terms — typically, full ownership transfers to you upon payment.
Case studies and results
Client results referenced on this site (traffic growth, revenue milestones, rankings) are real outcomes from past engagements. They illustrate what has been achieved for specific clients in specific circumstances and are not a promise of identical results for yours.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TerrySay's liability arising from your use of this website is limited to the amount you paid to use it (which is nothing — the site is free). Liability arising from service engagements is governed by the written terms of each engagement.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada. Any disputes will be handled in the courts of British Columbia.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top reflects the latest version, and continued use of the site means you accept the current terms.
